This beautiful old yacht dates back to 1948 and is adorned with authentic woodwork and copper detailing throughout. You will find all the modern home comforts here including a functional kitchen where you can prepare all your meals during your stay with ease. Enjoy dinner upstairs outside on the deck at the sturdy table and chairs if you prefer on a warm summer’s evening. There’s even a small bathroom with a shower and toilet. The space is very light thanks to the portholes and ceiling skylight and you can comfortably sit in the main living area and watch the wall mounted TV. The bedroom area is a very cosy romantic bunk bed which is accessed by climbing up on a small stool. An absolutely unique experience, this comfortable small yacht makes the perfect base for your holiday in Amsterdam.

Captain's Cutter Location

The Captain's Cutter houseboat apartment is moored alongside the Westerdok area just a few minutes’ walk to the west of Central Station. This excellent central location means you don’t have far to travel with heavy luggage and you will find all the city’s central popular sights within easy walking distance. If you wish to explore further afield then head to Central Station which is the main public transport hub for the city. Here you can hire bicycles, jump on a tram, bus, ferry, tandem or segway scooter and discover the city at your leisure.

Dam Square is only a short walk away. Considered to be the historical heart of the city, it dates back to the 13th century. Today it is a great place to enjoy a frothy coffee outside one of the many perimeter cafes and do some people watching. You will see thousands of people crossing the square, watching the street theatre and having their picture taken with the many pigeons and human statues here. It is up to you to decide which statues merit your loose change. Over the years the standard of the performers has gone down hill somewhat. Indeed most of them no longer stand still at all. Some however have intricate home made costumes and are clearly experts in their chosen field of street theatricals.
