The Plantage area is peaceful and more green than downtown Amsterdam, but you'll find the city is within easy reach. You can be at Rembrandtsplein in just 15 minutes, with its abundance of bars and nightlife. However, there's plenty to keep you amused closer to home, with a large range of restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. You'll find lots of lovely outdoor space too, with a zoo and botanical garden in the area. It's also home to the Hermitage Museum, coupled with the same museum in St. Petersburg.
