The sleeping area is at the far end of the room and features a lovely big double bed. It is divided from the living room area by a stylish contained bathroom which features a shower, sink and toilet. The Amstel Studio 8 apartment is perfectly located on the edge of the city’s stunning Canal Belt district. This is one of Amsterdam’s oldest areas and certainly one of the most beautiful. It is made up of 4 major canals that loop around the city centre. You will find attractive tall leaning buildings with coloured shutters, trees, house boats and pretty footbridges that light up at night. Today it is shocking to learn that the city once considered demolishing the houses in the area to make way for a huge access road into the centre. Thankfully in 2010 the centre of Amsterdam was added to UNESCO’s list of protected locations of historical and architectural importance. |
