This apartment is located in Amsterdam West, just a short distance from Sloterdijk Station; a major railway junction located approximately 15 minutes from the centre of the city. The train makes it not only possible to get to central Amsterdam easily but also the nearby city of Haarlem, a charming city that has much of what Amsterdam has to offer but with a fraction of the tourists. It is well worth visiting for its Windmill, beautiful square, museums and a brewery located inside an old Church. The apartment is located in a neighbourhood full of small shops and restaurants that specialise mainly in Turkish, Surinamese and Moroccan cuisine. There are also markets where you can get various goods from Tuesday to Saturday. Just a short tram ride from the apartment is Vondel Park and the Museum district. Vondel Park is the most lively and loved park in the city, with over 10 million visitors coming here each year to enjoy a picnic or barbeque or simply to enjoy the bustling atmosphere. There are also several cafes and the Film Museum within the park. The Museum Quarter is home to the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Rijks Museums. The Museum Quarter is also features several charming cafes, bars and restaurants and is a great place to get a meal or have a beer or wine after a day of exploring the city.
