This apartment is located close to Oosterpark in eastern Amsterdam, a park popular with local residents and more relaxed than the famous Vondel Park situated on the other side of the city. This park has a playground for children and is a great place for the family to relax. Just around the corner from the apartment is the bustling Dappermarkt, one of the busiest markets in Amsterdam and a great place to pick up food supplies from across the globe. The Plantage district is just a short distance from the apartment and here you will find Artis Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in Europe, popular with locals and tourists alike. If you like beer, then the IJ Brewery, a local Amsterdam microbrewery is situated not far from the apartment. The brewery is located inside one of the few Windmills left in Amsterdam and produces predominantly Belgian style beers. The area is far more relaxed than the centre of the city but when you want to get in and see the sights, it is well serviced by public transport. The centre of Amsterdam is just 10 minutes away by tram. |
