This Amsterdam apartment is located in a quiet area in IJselbuurt which is just south of the touristy Old South district. You can reach De Pijp area of the Old South district in around 10 minutes by tram 12. De Pijp was once a working class neighbourhood but today is home to a multicultural community and the city’s largest market, Albert Cuyp Market. Here you will find many great restaurants such as Bazar and Mamouche and bars such as Blackboard Canteen and Twentythird. There are a number of quirky shops too such as Blond which is a gaily painted dishware shop and De Taart van m’n Tante cake shop. Beer fans will enjoy the Heineken Experience at the old Heineken Brewery which is near the market at Stadhouderskade; the experience lasts about 90 minutes and includes two drinks per person. Amsterdam RAI centre is also about 10 – 15 minutes away from the apartment by bus or tram. Right by the RAI is Beatrixpark which is a small and quiet park named after the Dutch Queen where you can unwind after a long day. |
