The Dapperbuurt area may be just outside of the main central Canal Belt but it has a lot to offer to all visitors and with its easy links to the rest of the city via public transport you’re never too far from any attraction. Right outside your doorstep is the popular Dapper Market where you can pick up a range of multicultural products and foods. Just down the road are the lovely Oosterpark and Tropenmuseum, which is an anthropological museum and one of the largest museums in Amsterdam. Within minutes you can find yourself in the Canal Belt and more specifically the Plantage area which is home to Artis Zoo, Verzetsmuseum and the Botanical Gardens. And just a little further from there, or 20 minutes in total via tram 9 from the apartment, is Nieuwmarkt right by the popular China Town where you can visit the Fo Guang Shan temple or enjoy an authentic Chinese meal. Running alongside China Town is the ever curious Red Light District that you could even tour with a guide. |
