The apartment is located in the eastern part of Amsterdam, just outside the central part of the city. Situated on a quiet street, this apartment's location makes it a quiet, relaxing haven ideal for restf 2 ul 1ffe nights and lazy days, while still being so close to the action of the city that you'll enjoy the best of both worlds. The apartment is located very close to the famous Dappermarkt, which was voted one of the world's top ten shopping streets by National Geographic Traveller. This area is called the Dapperbuurt, and is lively, multicultural and vibrant. A lot of the housing here is in classical 19th century buildings and the market adds life and interest to the area. The market itself is extremely diverse, offering products from all over the world. There are hundreds of stalls offering everything from fresh produce to exotic foods and spices and textiles to home furnishings. You can spend a long time wandering around the stalls sampling all that's on offer here. There are lots of good cafes, bars and restaurants in this area, but if you want to travel into the central part of the city, it's a short trip by tram, bus or train. During the summer you can also take a canal boat to Central Station. Once here, you can experience all the major attractions of the city, such as the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums, Dam Square and Leidseplein. |
