This apartment is situated just a short distance from the Flower Market, a popular market in central Amsterdam where you can pick up souvenirs or just look at the wide range of flowers on offer. Just a short distance from the apartment is Kalverstraat, the main shopping street in Amsterdam and the place to come if you want to buy something while in the city. From Kalverstraat, Dam Square, the traditional centre of Amsterdam is just a short walk away. Dam Square is home to the most impressive building in Amsterdam the Royal Palace, as well several other attractions such as the Madame Tussauds wax museum, De Bijenkorf department store and the National Monument. The apartment is also close to the central canal belt, a World Heritage Site, and after an a few hours walking the canals you will know why. The belt is filled with grand canal houses, some of which can be visited and really should be.
