This is a great location for any stay in the city, whether its aimed at business or pleasure. Within walking distance of Central Station, if you have bags to carry you'll find it easy to get there by bus, in just 15 minutes. In the immediate vicinity, you'll find plenty of restaurants, with everything from traditional Dutch cuisine to Italian, Greek and Morrocan. There are also several shops and a supermarket close to home should you wish to dine there. The Central Market is just a few minutes' walk away and here you'll find not only fresh vegetables, meat and fish but also produce from all over the world. Close to Central Station is Dam Square, home to several department stores, as well as the breathtaking Royal Palace and the world-famous Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. From here, it's easy to get to the Anne Frank House, a must-see on any trip to Amsterdam. This area is filled with that iconic symbol of Amsterdam, pretty canals, ideal for a stroll. |
