Surrounding the square you can find terraces where you can sit and chill out, sip a drink while you are watching people pass by,or just be entertained by street bands or performers. Located on the square are the Stadsschouwburg municipal theatre, the Leidseplein Theatre, Paradiso and Melkweg Theatres, and the Nieuwe De La Mar Theater. There’s an entrance to the Vondelpark municipal park, the Holland Casino and the City Theatre cinema. From here you can walk anywhere in the city, if you so desire, or easily find a means of transportation. |
