This apartment is located on the edge of the Jordaan neighborhood. The Jordaan area is famous all over Holland and it was the place where the authentic poor Amsterdammers lived in the 19th century. Socialisme had its roots in this poor neighborhood and there were many riots of the poor against the rich. Now it is totally rebuilt and it is a popular area for yuppies and it contains many small streets with boutiques, galleries, restaurants and traditional brown cafes. Taste the Amsterdam atmosphere and drink a Dutch jenever in one of these cafes. Close by is the Dam Square. This square in the heart of the historical city of Amsterdam offers you great entertainment in the form of historical buildings like the Royal Palace and the prestigious Krasnapolsky hotel. The Royal Palace now belongs to the Dutch Royal family but was once the city hall of Amsterdam built in the 17th century Close t 2 o 1ffe the Dam you will find the most exciting district of Amsterdam. The Red Light District is located on the Wallen or Walls and these walls protected Amsterdam from intruders in the dark Middle -Ages. The small narrow streets with many bars and small restaurants make it a cozy district but the main attraction is the ladies of the night who sit behind large windows to expose their product or their body.
