Location
JB Gold is located in a quiet street in Watergraafsmeer on the West side of the city close to the Amstel River. In the 17th century it was a residential area where rich townspeople had country estates, at first mainly to collect rents, however soon mansions started to sprout. Here you can appreciate beautiful examples of Nieuwe Kunst Architecture, which is the Dutch version of Art Deco.
The apartment is on the Pijp en Rivierenbuurt District with its parks, waterways, connecting green strips for cyclists. A nice walk along the Amstel river takes you to the Rembrandt Square, Waterloo Square and the Utrechtsestraat. It's also within walking distance from the railway station Amsterdam Amstel and Metro station Wibautstraat. From both stations you can reach Schiphol airport in 20 minutes and within 10 minutes you are in the city centre.
There is a paid car parking in front of the door. During summer the Amstel river is a beautiful spot to have a drink at the famous café Hesp. Restaurant Dauphine for lunch and dinner – Prins Bernardplein.
