Location
The Rose Suite is in the Canal Belt District where elegant, gabled mansions richly decorated and beautifully laid out face water canals lined with trees. The crescent-shaped rings of man made waterways, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, Princesgracht were built around the old heart of town during the 17th century's Dutch Golden Age.
This cosy apartment is located in a side street of the quiet and residential Utrechtsestraat, in the heart of the Canal Belt. The street is also known for its authentic shops, typical Amsterdam cafés and is home to two lauded restaurants. On the other side of the street is the Amstel River – from which Amsterdam took its name. And on the other side of the river is the famous Magere Brug or Skinny Bridge, although, as it tends to happen with the years, it's not skinny any more; luckily it hasn't lost its charm.
Only a five minute walk away is the National Theatre Carré and the Hermitage Museum as well as the Rembrandtplein.
