The apartment is located in the charming Eixample district, the area of Barcelona built to extend the city beyond the walls of the Old City. Here you will find urban planning extremely different to that of the Old City. Instead of winding narrow streets you will long wide boulevards and the medieval architecture has been replaced with those designed by such architects as Domenech and Gaudí. Walking around the Eixample you will come across many of the famous works of Gaudí including Casa Milá, Casa Batlló and Sagrada Familia. Once you have explored the Eixample why not take a short walk into the Old City and experience the contrast for yourself. While the layout and feel of each district may be different, both are home to amazing shopping, chic cafes and exceptional bars and restaurants. What cuisine you eat is only limited by your imagination. The world famous Las Ramblas shopping street is also just a short journey away on foot. A Metro station is located close to the apartment so if you don't feel like walking to one of the city's attractions you always have public transport.
