Step out of the apartment and you will find many delights to tickle the tourist in you! The el Born and el Gotic areas are filled with old historic buildings many of which are constructed in gothic styles, and quaint narrow windings streets that lead out onto squares with cafes, restaurants and bars. In minutes on foot you could be joining the queue at the Picasso Museum or getting your camera out inside the amazing gothic buildings of Santa Maria del Mar church and Barcelona Cathedral. You may opt for a tour of Gaudi’s ever popular masterpieces and head to Passeig de Gracia for the La Pedrera and Casa Batllo buildings, go north into the Eixample district for the amazing La Sagrada Familia temple or keep going further north into the Gracia district for the beautiful Guell Park. West of Ciutat Vella is the Montjuic where you can enjoy walking through the Spanish Village, admiring the National Palace and be amazed by the water and colour shows by the Magic Fountain; a site worth seeing at night time. |
