This apartment is located amongst the narrow medieval streets of the Borne district. This historic quarter dates back to the time when Barcelona was contained within city walls and features some of the oldest buildings in the city. In recent years the district has been transformed into one of the trendiest areas of the Barcelona, complete with fashionable boutiques, art galleries, cocktail lounges, bars, cafés and restaurants. The area still maintains the feeling of yesteryear however now you are likely to run into celebrities while enjoying the history. The Picasso Museum and Textile Museum are both close to the apartment and both worthy of a visit for art and fashion lovers respectively. Just outside the Borne district is the Gothic Quarter which is a must visit if you love the old architecture of the Borne. If you are after something more modern, the Eixample is within walking distance and it is here you can see some of the most famous works from. If you want to relax, then look no further than the city beaches, also accessible on foot. For destination slightly further away, several Metro stations service the area. |
