You can find the Paseo del Borne Loft C apartment situated in the El Born neighbourhood of Barcelona. This popular barrio (district) is known as perhaps the most artistic and fashionable in the city. It is certainly one of the prettiest. Take a look around a 2 nd 1ffe get yourself lost in the seemingly never-ending labyrinth of medieval alleyways. You will be surprised by the mix of old and new design. The area is home to some of the most stimulating and popular cultural attractions in the city including the Picasso Museum which is just a short walk from the apartment.

Very centrally located, El Borne is perfectly nestled between the Gothic Quarter and one of the city’s most relaxing and enjoyable green spaces called Parc Ciutadela. Wander through the beautiful landscaped gardens at your leisure or grab some shade under a tree with a book. This is also home to the excellent Barcelona Zoo.

Right on your doorstep you will find the stunning Santa Maria del Mar basilica. The name appropriately translates as ‘St. Mary of the Sea’ and it was originally a place of worship for the shipbuilders and merchants of Gothic Barcelona in the 14th century. It remains the only surviving example of pure Catalan Gothic style. More recently (relatively) it was regularly visited by the city’s favourite son Antoni Gaudi who was inspired by the almost gravity defying towering columns inside. He went on to build the city’s most iconic and eternally controversial buildings, La Sagrada Familia. It was his life’s great work and indeed life’s great love. It remains unfinished and continues to divide aesthetic architectural opinion as it did when its plans were first unveiled.

Getting around the city is easy since Jaume I metro station is handily just a short walk to the west of the apartment and Barceloneta metro station is 8 minutes walk to the south.
