The apartment is located in the charming Borne district of Barcelona, known for its narrow winding streets and well preserved medieval architecture. Although one of the oldest parts of Barcelona, the Borne is home to some of the city's most fashionable boutiques, art galleries, bars, cafés and restaurants. Picasso lived in the area during his younger years and it is here you can find the Picasso museum housing many of his earlier works. The apartment is also within walking distance of the most famous street in the city, Las Ramblas. The Gothic quarter is nearby and a few hours should really be spent here looking at the amazing buildings. If architecture is something that interests you then the apartment is just a short walk from the Eixample home to several of Gaudi's most famous buildings. Several Metro stations also service the area for destinations you may wish to visit that are beyond walking.
