Picasso Studio A Location

The Picasso Studio A is located in El Borne, the most fashionable neighbourhood in the city.  Home to some of the most popular and interesting galleries in the city you will not be short of things to do locally. The excellent Picasso Museum nearby is certainly worth investigating. With a permanent collection of more than 3,500 works you can get a broader view of what made this artist a genius in his field. The museum also throws a fascinating light on his special relationship with Barcelona itself. High on the must-see list of so many visitors to the city it is wise to the check opening times and get here early to ensure you are not disappointed.
 
Just a minutes’ walk away form the apartment lies the beautiful basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. The name translates as ‘St. Mary of the Sea’ and it was originally the place of worship for the shipbuilders and merchants of Gothic Barcelona. Built in just 55 years from 1329 to 1384, it remains the only surviving church in the pure Catalan Gothic style. Its incredible towering height appears to almost defy gravity. The tall columns inside were a major influence on Gaudi for his design of La Sagrada Familia, the most eye catching building in the city.

You will find Jaume I metro station a short walk to the west as well as Barceloneta metro station 8 minutes walk to the south giving you easy access to the whole city.
