Ramblas Studio A Location
| The Ramblas Studio is on a marvellous location 20 metres from the famous Las Ramblas and a step away from the Portal del Ãngel. Right in front of the apartment is the Ateneu Barcelonés, a literary club. It was the city cultural centre until the end of the Spanish Civil War on 1939. Also in front of the apartment is the sunken garden in Plaza de la Villa de Madrid which contains the remains of a Roman road and tombs; including that of Roman Emperor Theodosius I, who died in 395. The Portal del Ãngel, one of the old city's doors and today one of the most important shopping streets in Barcelona continues to be the passing through into the Gothic quarters, the Cathedral and the trendy Borne with its variety of restaurants and boutiques. If you walk down Las Ramblas you can enjoy the shops, the street artists, the Famous Liceu Theatre and the colourful abundance of the Mercado de la Boquería. The Plaza de Cataluña Station is a few metres away with subways and trains going everywhere. |
