Apartment Galata Tower VIP I Location
The Apartment Galata Tower VIP I sits just a few metres away form the iconic Galata Tower which offers outstanding 360 degree views across the city from its observation deck at 51.65 metres above the ground. It is certainly worth visiting as it is really is on your doorstep and the lift taking you to the top is surprisingly quick. The tower was built in the 14th century as the crowning glory to the city’s original walls of defence. More (relatively) recently it was used to inter prisoners of war and as an observatory. Only a few years ago part of the base was converted into a restaurant and nightclub.
