You are encouraged to really make yourself feel at home in the living room and socialise with your guests on the large chunky sofa enjoying the flat screen TV provided. The sofa also doubles as a bed for one of your guests. The private bedrooms are simply decorated in an unfussy style to encourage restful sleep on your holiday. You will find a double bed in one room and two singles in the other. Both rooms have good storage for all your clothing and travel items. You will also find an attractive private bathroom fitted with a shower, sink and toilet. Mealtimes are easily taken care of in the kitchen area which is open plan and fully fitted with all the equipment you could need for making your own tasty snacks and favourite dishes from home. Located on the 5th floor the apartment is accessed via a lift. The Pièce de résistance is certainly the charming balcony where you can enjoy a good book in the sun or share a bottle of wine with your guests.

You will find the Easy Chic 5 Apartment on the European side of Istanbul in the Pera district which lies just immediately north of Galata. The area is famed for its delicious food opportunities and you will find a wealth of delightful boutiques and antique shops here.

Probably the most popular event that takes place in the area is the weekly performance of the Whirling Dervishes at Galat Mevlevihanesi which lies handily just a minutes’ walk away. A small fee allows you to witness this iconic dancing celebration every Sunday at 5.00pm. The building is the home of the Museum of Divan Literature which keeps examples of Ottoman literary works, calligraphy and inscriptions in a safely preserved state.

To get a real grasp of the layout of the immediate vicinity of the apartment head south for just 6 minutes’ to the iconic Galata Tower. Built in the 14th century to crown the city’s wall defences, today you can take the lift to the top and enjoy incredible 360 degree views across the city.

The apartment is excellently positioned to access the many forms of transport available in the city. You will find the underground, bus, tram and of course taxis on your doorstep. Meanwhile the Goldenhorn and Karakoy ferries are just a short distance away and a great way to explore a little further afield. Zooming along on the open water feeling the breeze is also a great way to keep cool.
