Istanbul International Jazz Festival
The Istanbul International Jazz Festival (Turkish: Uluslararası İstanbul Caz Festivali) is a cultural event held every July in Istanbul. It offers a selection of jazz music performances with the participations of famous artists from all over the world.
Unique venues— Byzantine basilicas, Ottoman palaces, museums, open-air theaters—will host scheduled events (for example Hagia Eirene Museum, Istanbul Archaeological Museum, the Marmara Esma Sultan and Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theatre). More informally, the back streets, neighborhood squares, tavernas and even the waterways of Istanbul will resonate with music: Jazz, Blues, Big Band but also Pop, Reggae, Rock and New Age.
