Location
The New Town apartment is near the National Theatre and the Wenceslas Square in the bustling heart of Prague and yet it's located in a peaceful neighbourhood. The exclusive New Town district is not exactly new since it was founded in 1348 by Charles IV just outside the city walls.
The Charles Square, only fifty metres away, is one of the largest squares in the world and very likely the largest medieval square in Europe. It was known as Dobytčí trh or Cattle market from the 15th century and finally named after its founder.
In the neighbourhood there is a wide range of restaurants and pubs including the wonderful Pivovarsky Dum Micro-Brewery and Restaurant, where you can taste beers with such diverse flavours as coffee, banana or cherry.
You will be within walking distance to all major attractions and monuments. Conveniently enough the square is now one of the main transport hubs of the city centre with metro station Karlovo náměstí and numerous tram lines and busy roads crossing it in all directions.
