Location
The River 62 is exceptionally located within walking distance of Charles Bridge, the Old Town and Wenceslas Square and Charles Square is practically at its doorstep.
Also a five minute stroll away is the extraordinary Dancing House by architect Frank Ghery in cooperation with Czech architect Vlado Miluni. Originally it was a house in the Neo-renaissance style from the end of the 19th century and destroyed during the 1945 bombings. In the nineties a Dutch Bank took it over and comissioned Ghery to create an icon. The building finished in 1996, reflects a woman and man dancing together – Ginger Rogers and Fred Astair.
In the neighbourhood there is a wide range of restaurants and pubs including the wonderful Pivovarsky Dum Micro-Brewery and Restaurant, where you can taste beers with such diverse flavours as coffee, banana or cherry.
You are within walking distance to all major attractions and monuments; a tram stops at your doorstep and conveniently enough the square is now one of the main transport hubs of the city centre with metro station Karlovo náměstí.
