Location
The apartment is located next to the Music and Performing Arts School and just 100 metres away from the Old Town – original settlement of Prague. Important landmarks in the Old Town include the Old Town Square, the Old New Synagogue and the Astronomical Clock. The Old Town Square features various architectural styles including the Gothic Týn Cathedral and the baroque St. Nicholas Church. The square is an oasis after wandering by Prague's narrow streets. Among the many churches stands the fascinating Astronomical Clock, while the tower at the Old Town Hall offers a panoramic view of Old Town.
A few minutes away, across the Vltava river and connected by the Charles Bridge, is the picturesque Malá Strana Quarter. Josefov, the Jewish Quarter is located on the northwest corner of the Old Town heading towards the Vltava. To the south west of the apartment is the Wenseslas Square, just a short stroll away – 200 metres.
Wenceslas Square is the largest square in the city and was named after Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia. Many of Prague's historical events have taken place here, including the Nazi Occupation, the Communist Takeover and it also was the starting point of the Velvet Revolution. The Wenseslas Square captures the soul of the city and is a fashionable place full of shops and cafés.
You are walking distance to most attractions and monuments, but if you desire to adventure farther out there are two metro stations nearby: Mústek, Staromestská.
