Navona Location
|
This lovely Rome accommodation has an ideal central location close to the Piazza Navona square which was built in the 1st century AD and is home to the Fountain of the Four Rivers. The area is filled with narrow streets where you'll find antiques, arts, crafts, cafes and restaurants serving Italian cuisine such as at Pierluigi, Due Ladroni and Centrale Ristotheatre which was once a theatre. Being so centrally located means you can explore most attractions on foot taking in Rome's romantic scenery and amazing architecture. You could even hire a bike for a quicker way through town and head south for a spectacular and relaxing trip along la Via Appia Antica, which is the cobblestoned Appian Way that linked much of Italy to Rome; amazingly some of the original cobblestones are still there after over 2 millennia of traffic! Just south of the district in Colosseo is where you can explore the ruins of ancient Rome at the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, the Roman Forum and The Flavian Palace. |
