When the weather is warm and sunny then Scheveningen is a nice place to visit. This is the famous beach resort of The Hague. You can so for a stroll on the boulevard and sit on a bench and observe the other people walking by. If you want to go for a longer walk then hit the sandy beach and go south. Because if you north you will hit the nudist section of this beach. There are many café, bars and restaurants along the boulevard and along the beach you will also find beach cafes. You can even go to the majestic Kurhouse hotel and drink a cold beer inside or on the terrace. When it rains then the Museon is a nice museum to visit. This museum has more than 273.000 objects concerning nature, culture and technology. The permanent exhibition called My World, Your world is very interesting for children but also for adults. This exhibition tells the evolutionary story of mankind, animals and plants from the big bang, prehistoric times to the present time concerning religion, art, society and wars. Your apartment is close to the Lange Voorhout. This used to be the street where the elite of The Hague strolled to show off the latest fashion in the 19th century. They liked to walk on this street because it has many lime trees which provide shade. Some of these lime trees are very old because they were planted in 1536 when Emperor Charles V had his residence in The Hague.
