The Hague has more to offer. Madurodam is a model miniature city on a 1:25 scale. You can see windmills, bridges, towers, stations, palaces, monumental buildings, farms, castles and much more from all over The Netherlands. You can see the Schiphol airport with moving planes and also the highest tower in the Netherlands, the Dom Tower in Utrecht. There is a souvenir shop and also a café with a terrace.
The Gevangenpoort is a medieval prison which is located close to the Binnenhof and the Hofvijver. It is a museum and gives a good impression how the prisoners were tortured in those days. If somebody was suspected of a crime then he would go to prison to be tortured to get a confession. They almost always confessed because the torture was awful. Once they confessed then the judges would rule a punishment. This could be a death penalty, a fine, a corporal punishment or exile. They were never sentenced to prison.
