City Delight Location

Your apartment is located right in the centre of The Hague. This city has about 500.000 inhabitants and is the third largest city after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The Hague is the seat of the Dutch government and parliament, the Supreme Court and the Council of State yet it is a bit strange that this city is not the capital of The Netherlands but Amsterdam. Queen Beatrix lives at Huis Ten Bosch and works at Noordeinde Palace both are located in The Hague. All foreign embassies and 150 international organizations are located in the city including the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice.

If you want know more about The Hague then you must visit the Haags Historisch Museum. You can see many objects like an axe of 2500 BC or you can see paintings and drawings which tell you the history of this city from the Stone Age to 2012. But this museum has more to offer. It has an unique doll house of Lita de Ranitz and this museum also has a 19th century drawing room so children can experience how people lived in that century.

The Passage is the oldest shopping centre of The Netherlands and it was opened in 1885. It has been renovated but it still has the atmosphere of those days. In the historic centre part of the city you will find many streets with nice shops, fashion boutiques and big warehouses. Visit the Bijenkorf and experience the Dutch taste of fashion and other things the Dutch like.
