Queens Day
Queens Day is a national holiday on 30 April in the Netherlands and celebrates the birthday of the Queen. During the celebrations people dress in the colour orange. Queens Day is known for its "freemarket", where everybody is allowed to sell things in the streets. Other activities during Queens Day are children's games, music concerts and all kinds of street entertainment.

Keukenhof
An unprecedented wealth of spectacular floral displays planted in endless varieties, alternated with beautiful works of art. Keukenhof is unique, world famous and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for many years now. The most beautiful spring garden in the world will be open from March until May.

Liberation Festival in The Hague
The Liberation Festival in The Hague, marking Liberation Day, is organised in and around the Spuiplein.
Each year some 750,000 people visit the liberation festivals held throughout the Netherlands. The festivals celebrate liberation, freedom, democracy and human rights. Numerous free events will take place during the day from 13.00 to 21.00 hrs.

The Hague Jazz festival
The Hague sparkles every year a few days in June featuring jazz, soul, blues, gospel and funk. The formula of the festival is a crafty balance between public favourites, big jazz names, young Dutch talent and international artists that make their debut in the Netherlands.

The Hague Sculpture
Within the top 10 of Dutch cultural events The Hague Sculpture centainly has the most 'public' character. The sculptures at the Lange Voorhout are there to see from June to August, 24 hours a day, at daytime but also at night when they are intimately illuminated.

Parkpop
Wanna visit one of the largest free popfestivals in Europe? Come along and join in the fun at Parkpop, every year at the end of June on a Sunday in Zuiderpark. The festival will start at 13.00 and go on till 21.30. Entry to Parkpop is free!

Cool Event Scheveningen
Every winter Scheveningen is the place to be. The Hague’s beach resort will be transformed into a true winter wonderland called ‘Cool Event’. In front of the famous Kurhaus Hotel you will find a beautiful ice skating rink. Skates are available for hire.
