Canal Holiday apartment Amsterdam

This exciting apartment covers two floors – the top-level and one level below. It offers an amazing blend of modern style and chic with traditional elements of furnishing. Large windows, visible traces of brickwork, sloped ceilings and contemporary fittings create a unique atmosphere and cosy living conditions. The bright roomy living area is found on the lower floor; it features one standard sofa and one sleeping sofa, a comfortable armchair, a coffee table and a TV and connects with the dining section with big dining table for six. This section, in turn, is connected on its other side with the kitchen, fully equipped for homelike cooking as you like it. The fresh and atmospheric bathroom with a bathtub, sink, shower and toilet is to be found on the same floor as well.No home is complete without a bedroom and here it is placed on the upper floor reached by a flight of stairs. The cosy bedroom area – hidden under a sloping roof – contains two single beds, one double bed, a couple of chairs and a night table. Still, that’s not all, for this apartment also offers a balcony at your disposal, so you can have your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine with the amazing city view under your feet.

This place offers excellent accommodation for larger groups or families, but may be less suitable for the elderly, the disabled, small children or those travelling heavy due to the small staircase.

The neighborhood of two of the largest parks in this part of Amsterdam makes this location a real treat. Many attractions await you on your way of exploring the surroundings, ranging from lovely cafés to diversely-themed shops and galleries.Apart from the more leisurely Rembrandtpark to the north-west and the more ‘social’ Vondelpark to the south-east, you have plenty of other sights and interesting spots to choose from while you’re around. Only a few steps to the east through the colorful streets of Amsterdam and you can come across some fine restaurants and cafés, like the Eetcafé Zus & Zus, Café Wihelmina or Neetu Dhaba Indiaas. If you’re after some culture and art, then the direct vicinity of the Museumplein should make you more than happy. With the Stedelijk Musem, the Rijkmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum in one place, the area grants as much excitement as you may wish for.Last but not least, it should be mentioned that it is really easy to get to other parts of the city with so many tram stops all around, but before you decide to move on, you may find it also interesting to visit the Farmer’s Market on Overtoom – it offers many organic products, including cheese, fruit, vegetable and baker’s goods, often at affordable prices.

This was such a great apartment for a fun weekend in Amsterdam. Great location just outside of city centre. Stylish interiors & excellent facilities. The owners are just downstairs if you have any questions and are very helpful.
