The neighborhood of two of the largest parks in this part of Amsterdam makes this location a real treat. Many attractions await you on your way of exploring the surroundings, ranging from lovely cafés to diversely-themed shops and galleries. Apart from the more leisurely Rembrandtpark to the north-west and the more ‘social’ Vondelpark to the south-east, you have plenty of other sights and interesting spots to choose from while you’re around. Only a few steps through the colorful streets of Amsterdam and you can come across some fine restaurants and cafés, like the Eetcafé Zus & Zus, Café Wihelmina or Stadscafe van Mechelen. From the apartment just follow the avenue Overtoom and you end up at the Leidseplein, the square and side streets are also filled with bars, terraces and restaurants. If you’re after some culture and art, then the direct vicinity of the square Museumplein should make you more than happy. With the Stedelijk Museum for modern art, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum in one place, the area grants as much excitement as you may wish for. Last but not least, it should be mentioned that it is really easy to get to other parts of the city with so many tram stops all around.
