Conveniently situated within close proximity to a number of shops, cafes and restaurants as well the delights of the vibrant city centre, this apartment is ideally placed within the sought after Jordaan district of Amsterdam. Originally created in the 17th century to house the city’s ever expanding working class population, the area underwent a huge transformation in the 1970s which resulted in the fashionable neighbourhood that it is today. Boasting an array of chic boutiques, trendy bars and fine dining establishments, the Jordaan district is popular with tourists and locals alike. The Jordaan is also home to one of Amsterdam’s most famous attractions, welcoming thousands upon thousands of visitors from across the globe every year– the Anne Frank House Museum. Located along the banks of the majestic Prinsengracht Canal, and just a few minutes away from the apartment, the house was where Anne Frank and her Jewish family hid from the Nazis during World War II, within a secret annex. Today the museum allows visitors the opportunity to explore this fascinating building, where Anne Frank wrote her world renowned diary, and learn about what life was like during such hard times.

An excellently located, well-equipped apartment for four people. As always mentioned, there are a lot of very steep, narrow stairs but in a way this is part of the atmosphere of a canalised house.
