The Houseboat Amsterdam

The Houseboat Amsterdam offers a delightful stay for up to four guests in the Canal Belt of Amsterdam on an actual house boat at the canal Prinsengracht.

You have the chance to get to know Amsterdam in one of the most amazing ways possible. This place is laying in one of the main canals in the city centre, called the Prinsengracht. The living room is charming with a seating area and an authentic heater. There is also a dining table to enjoy a meal, which you can prepare at the fully equipped kitchen. Feel free to use whatever you need to show off your culinary skills. You can see the little boats pass by while you are enjoying some breakfast.

The sleeping area with two double beds is very cosy and you will surely fall asleep to the water floating pass by you. There is a private bathroom as well with a sink, a toilet, and a shower.

You cannot be situated at a better location than this one. To stay on one of the canals of Amsterdam is such a unique opportunity, you will remember this time forever. Imagine staying in a house boat with tourist boats passing by on one side, and the numerous bicycles on the other. You are getting the ultimate Dutch experience: the water has been Holland's best tool in becoming the country it is to this day. On one side it is used a transportation way, but on the other the Dutch have to manage to keep the sea out of the country: without that, half of the Netherlands would be under water. The canals are the best example of how the Dutch innovation culture got to create the city and give it its unique image. At the height of the Dutch Golden Age in the seventeenth century this is where all the ships arrived and unloaded onto the docks where you are staying right now. At the same time the impressive estates belonged to the rich traders that saw their products arrive from all over the world.

Other important touristic attractions can be reached on foot very easily, as the actual city centre of Amsterdam can be crossed in a short time. Should you wish to use other means to travel around, the public transportation system is excellent here and will take you anywhere in this amazing city.
