To the rear of the room is a large dining table and chairs where you can lay out those huge unwieldy city maps and plan what activities to do together tomorrow. It is also ideal for serving up home cooked meals prepared in the fully fitted kitchen also provided here.

Location

The Barcelone Paseo de Gracia Deluxe B apartment can be found located on the famous street of the same name in the Eixample district of the city. This is certainly considered one of the most fashionable shopping streets in the city where you will find generally up market stores including Tiffany and Gucci. Eixample, or L’Eixample, is not only the largest but also one of the newest Barcelona neighbourhoods. It was constructed in the 19th century to provide further housing for the fast growing city’s residents. Indeed Eixample translates appropriately as ‘extension’ or ‘enlargement’. Today this is a spacious, clean, and very safe district linking up the Barri Gòtic, El Raval, El Borne, Barceloneta and Gracia neighbourhoods. Mainly a middle class residential area it is also home to some of the city’s most stimulating architecture. The Paseo (or Passeig) de Gracia has two of the city’s most famous creations, both designed by the city’s most famous son, Antoni Gaudi – Cassa Btlla and Cass Milla, better known as La Pedrera. The latter was renamed by disapproving locals and the name translates unappreciatively as ‘quarry’. Although adored by millions around the world, the work of Gaudi continues to divide aesthetic opinion.

Getting around the city is extremely easy since Passeig de Gracia metro station is only a few minutes’ walk away from the apartment.
